About us

Centre Amitié, Ressources et Entraide pour la Jeunesse (C.A.R.E Jeunesse) is a provincial, bilingual non-profit organization dedicated to providing a community and a voice for youth in care and alumni of care.

For most people, life doesn’t change the day you turn 18. Many young adults still benefit from the emotional and financial support of their parents and community as they explore adulthood, pursue personal and educational goals, and embrace independence.

For the 2000 youth who age out of care in Quebec annually, this is not an option. Many are left to find their own way in the world overnight, without guidance or support. C.A.R.E Jeunesse hopes to change that.

Founded by alumni of care who have experienced the system first hand, our organization aims to assist youth after they leave care. We want to improve their life situations, provide them with a supportive community, and help them build a better future. When a young adult leaving care finds themselves facing issues with their landlord, is without food, needs help with a CEGEP application, or needs someone to spend the holidays with, they can reach out to C.A.R.E Jeunesse to make those connections!

"There needs to be more quality service provided to youth while they're in care,

and there needs to be support for youth when they're leaving care."
