What does CARE Jeunesse do?
CARE Jeunesse provides a community and a voice for youth in care and alumni of care. CARE Jeunesse provides a safe place for youth and alumni to form relationships and seek support from individuals who have similar life experiences and helps youth and alumni find resources. CARE Jeunesse also examines policies related to youth in care, and offers training and consultation to professionals on the issues relevant to youth in care.
What does CARE Jeunesse stand for?
CARE Jeunesse stands for Centre Amitié, Ressources et Entraide pour la Jeunesse, which translates to the Center for Friendship, Resources and Mutual Aid for Youth.
What is an alumni of care?
Alumni of care are a group of individuals who were in care but have since left the system of care that they were in after reaching adulthood.
What does “in care” mean?
Having received youth protection services between the ages of 0-18 ,and/or being placed in including but not limited to, foster homes, group homes and a range of residential centers.

What is an AGM (Annual General Meeting)?
The annual general meeting takes place once a year where all CARE Jeunesse Members gather to discuss previous and future activities of CARE Jeunesse and the treasurer will report on the CARE Jeunesse finances. This is also the time that Board members may be elected by voting members.
